tchotchke

Wire thin up and springy at angles

space here through twisted coil

Hardened and bent by the frame

//

To throw the knot with another

Overlap and hook and tangle

Tough in learned recoil

Unto malleable assemblage and chucks with softer edges

//

Sing amidst kilns and porcelain wildcats

And jump in the city of yours

The crook of an arm to you reckons

And the roundabout way to the floor.
